Te Teko Rugby & Sports Club commemorates 125 years

Te Teko Rugby and Sports Club commemorates 125 years of success, sport and culture.  Hundreds of locals gathered to show their support towards the Bay of Plenty sports club that has helped put the small town on the map.

Te Teko has a proud history of producing legends like former NPC player Keith Pryor, New Zealand Sevens player Dallas Seymour and several other female players who have emerged from club's ranks to become Black Ferns.

Other notable faces included, former All Black players Tane Norton and Billy Bush who paid a surprise visit to a club they once called home.

The club has also helped the community in fundraising events for local schools, kōhanga reo and marae.  The club also continued their success defeating local and long-time rivals Paroa in a titanic battle.

The event concluded with a spectacular club haka.
