Today marks 40 years since Bastion Point arrest

It's a day of huge significance for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and Māoridom as a whole, as today marks the 40th anniversary since the arrests that took place at Bastion Point after the land was occupied in protest.

The event is being commemorated at Ōrākei Marae. Our reporter Taroi Black was there this morning.
