Trade Me to auction tickets to Joseph Parker fight

Today Duco Events Chief Executive, Martin Snedden announced 520 tickets for the upcoming Joseph Parker versus Carlos Takam IBF Title Eliminator boxing bout at the Vodafone Events Centre in Auckland this month will be sold on auction website Trade Me with a $1 reserve.

After months of deliberations, Martin Snedden says, “The people participating in those auctions will ultimately decide the value of those tickets, for us this is something really special.”

This gives punters the opportunity to put a value price on tickets. The A Reserve tickets have a recommended retail price of $299 but all will be sold on auction website Trade Me with a $1 reserve.

“We are going to sell these tickets over the next ten days leading into the event starting from right now” says Snedden.

It will be the only way left to buy tickets to New Zealand’s biggest sporting event in 2016 where the New Zealand Heavyweight Joseph Parker has an opportunity to make boxing history. This is a first for Duco Events, Duco Director Dean Lonergan believes this will be a hit among hard-core punters to purchase tickets.

“All sorts of things have been sold on Trade Me, why can you sell tickets, this is a perfect scenario when you consider over demand and under supply the public will work out what they should pay for the tickets” says lonergan.

125 corporate tables have already been sold with a top price of $12,000. With 400 more corporates seated for the Saturday, May the 21st Event in South Auckland, where Parker grew up.
