Tūhoe descendant Jordan Kahu helps Broncos win first NRL 2016 match

Jordan Kahu (Tūhoe, Te Atiawa) scored the first try of the 2016 NRL season for the Broncos, his team winning the first match of the year, beating the Parramatta Eels 17 - 4 in Sydney.

The Broncos outscored the Eels by 3 tries to one, they also didn't let the Eels score in the second half, scoring one single try in the 25th minute of the match.

All tries were scored in the first half, Anthony Milford scored the second thanks to a chip by Corey Oates, the final try was scored by Oates in the corner from a Alex Glenn offload.

Parramatta's single try was scored by Clinton Gutherson, his debut try.

Tonight's game is between the Sea Eagles and the Bulldogs.
