University of Auckland staff have joined students to share their disapproval of the proposed library closures at the university,
The university says it plans to close several specialist libraries including the music and dance library.
But librarians say it's important the music collection stays intact because of its importance to the study of music.
Last week that over 1,000 students rallied in protest of the proposed closures.
