The NZ U19 Boys Softball Championships is on in Auckland, where 10 teams from around the country have met to see who the best team is in the country.
Players are determined to win a national title, despite the rain.
Teams from around the country will compete right through to Sunday, all striving to be the best U19 boys' team in the competition.
Auckland are the defending champions, but could find it hard to defend their title this year.
Counties-Manukau played Canterbury today. A mistake from Counties proved costly, with only two runners returning home.
But Counties made up for their mistakes.
As Wellington took on the Auckland B team, they got off to a strong start, scoring two runs in the first inning and five in the second.
The finals will be held this Sunday.
