USA Eagles feel the wrath of Māori All Blacks

The USA Eagles felt the wrath of the Māori All Blacks in their first test of their three-game world tour in Chicago, 54-7 final score.

The Māori All Blacks dealt the USA Eagles a heavy hand in their first test of their three-game world tour, scoring eight tries to one the USA were no match for Akira Ioane.

As the game kicked off the Māori All Blacks made their challenge clear, but the USA Eagles were quick to respond launching straight into the attack to take control of the game in the first minutes.

But the USA struggled to break through the lines. The Māori ABs wasted no time to come back. Damian McKenzie punching the ball through for James Low to score the first try.

The Eagles found golden opportunities but basic errors let them down.

A penalty for a high tackle allowed New Zealand to extend their lead thanks to Akira Ioane and Ihaia West sealing the deal with a clear conversion.

Only two minutes later, West shone through again for New Zealand popping the ball through for Low to find New Zealand's third try and Ash Dixon finishing the half. 28-0 to the Māori All Blacks.

Desperate for a first try, the Americans made the most of a penalty in the beginning of the second half. Todd Clever crashing over to save face.

But there was no defeating the Māori who continued to outsmart the home side.

Joe Royal had the last laugh with All Black Damian McKenzie sealing the deal for the Māori. 54-7 to New Zealand.

Next Saturday, the Māori All Blacks play their second test against Ireland provincial club team Munster.
