Warriors hand out rain coats to Wellington kids

By Te Ao Māori News

The Warriors have a bye this weekend in the NRL competition but that doesn't mean they're relaxing this week.

The team travelled to Wellington to promote their game held in Wellington against the Dragons held on August 8.

This will be the first time this year the team will play in Wellington, and they're expecting a huge turnout.

The team also visited St Bernadette School today where they were handing out raincoats to students, a part of its "Raincoats for Kids" programme with the help of KidsCan.

It was even more special for Ben Matulino who returned back to his old school for a community event.

He loves the place and he's really chuffed something is being done for the kids there.

The Warriors have a bye this weekend but will prepare to take on the Knights at Mt Smart next weekend.
